Visitors always welcome !!!!

Edgmon Performance Horses is located north of Guthrie, OK, 45 minutes from OKC Fairgrounds, 90 minutes from Tulsa Fairgrounds, and approximately 4 hours from Fort Worth.  It is owned by Dick and Mary Edgmon.  Dick worked as a cowboy in the Texas Panhandle until 2006, when we moved to Guthrie.  The family owned the 8,300 acre historic Landergin Brothers ranch near Hereford, Tx and Clovis, NM and another ranch near Higgins, TX. We have raised APHA & AQHA horses for mainly ranch work for the past 30 years.  We have decided to focus on the Reining, Cutting, & Working Cow Horse aspect of the industry.  We had the opportunity to purchase LATE LIGHT, a son of Grays Starlight, to breed to our band of Reining and Cutting bred mares.

We are primarily a Breeding program.  We also do short term Boarding and Lay Overs. Our facilities include an 8 stall barn, 60 x 120 indoor arena, 90 ft round pen, and serveral outside pens and paddocks.

Our son, Tell, attended Redlands Junior College in El Reno, OK, where he worked for AQHA Hall of Fame Member, Jack Kyle .  He then attended Oklahoma State University where he obtained a degree in Equine Science.  After graduation, he worked for Mike Keller in El Reno, OK.  He went to Dell Hendricks, Scott McCutchion's, and Todd Martin's.  He is currently trainining Reining horses for Jonna McCabe in Denmark.

Our daughter, Kandy Smith, lives in Minco, OK.  Until she graduated high school, she competed in Barrel Racing, winning several buckles.  After high school, she attended Clarendon Junior College in Clarendon, TX.  She is now busy with our grandaughter, ShyAnn.
